Working in creative harmony, art collaborators Janette Grassi of Charlotte, NC and Doni Jordan of Columbia created play, a rhythmic painted violin for the South Carolina Philharmonic annual fundraiser, Painted Violins 2008. They derived inspiration from the black and white lines on a score of music. Viewers received a card printed with a single black musical note emphasizing the importance of music in their lives. Their violin was selected to be printed on the front cover of the event catalog.
